The 'Samurai' patterning stems from selective breeding of metallic dragon-scale genetics, producing dense, iridescent silver or white cap-scaling across the upper portion of a dark red body.
Behavior & Temperament
The Red Samurai HMPK is a solitary, territorial fish that primarily swims in the top and middle levels of the aquarium. Male bettas are intensely aggressive toward other male bettas and similar-looking species, so they must be kept singly. However, they can peacefully coexist with quiet, non-nipping tankmates such as small rasboras, neon tetras, Corydoras catfish, and peaceful invertebrates in a spacious, well-planted tank.
